University of Arkansas ASSOCIATION FOR WOMEN IN MATHEMATICS INC Student Chapter named Dr. Mary Wheeler from The University of Texas at Austin's Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences their Female Mathematician of the month for November. Chapter members voted unanimously in recognizing Dr. Wheeler as an inspirational role model and said, "Thank you for inspiring women and men to be passionate about the world of mathematics."

Clint Dawson and fellow UT Faculty Stephen Vladeck were honored with the UT President's Research Impact Award. Dawson was instrumental in developing a simulation code that is used worldwide in coastal ocean modeling and hurricane storm surge predictions. https://lnkd.in/gj8GrxVH
